A Romantic Fall Wedding in Vail, Colorado
There’s nothing quite like fall in Colorado. Every September, the mountains come alive with golden aspens and crisp blue skies—making it one of the most breathtaking times of year to say “I do.” Designed by Yarrow & Spruce, Julia and David’s Vail wedding captured that magic perfectly, set against a backdrop of brilliant autumn color and mountain views.
Their ceremony took place atop Vail Mountain at the Holy Cross Wedding Deck, where guests were greeted with sweeping views of the valley below. To complement the scenery, we designed a deconstructed meadow arch—an airy, textural installation filled with seasonal grasses and blooms in soft blush, dusty rose, raspberry, and peach, accented with hints of lavender. The design framed the couple in a natural, organic way, blending beautifully into the surrounding landscape.
The celebration continued in Vail Village at the Arrabelle Square Tent, transformed into a whimsical, romantic space for the evening. The entrance was framed with custom draping and lush, textural floral designs arranged in mixed-style baskets—bringing in color, texture, and a sense of warmth from the very first step inside. Overhead, rattan chandeliers and cascading greenery created a cozy glow, while long, candlelit tables featured garden-inspired centerpieces of dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, and lisianthus.
To keep the space intimate and conversational, we designed the floral centerpieces low and airy, letting the details—hand-selected table settings and a meadow-lined dance floor—shine through. Ceremony florals were thoughtfully repurposed to frame the stage, giving the feeling of a mountain meadow brought indoors.
Guests left heartfelt messages for the couple by recording voicemails on a retro rotary phone—a playful twist on the traditional guest book. The display was anchored by an oversized statement arrangement, drawing eyes to the chandelier and foliage-draped canopy above.
From the golden aspens on the mountain to the lush tent filled with candlelight, Julia and David’s fall wedding in Vail was the perfect blend of natural beauty, romance, and quiet luxury—an unforgettable celebration brought to life by Yarrow & Spruce.
